As the Senate considers approval of the tax reform bill, the House must reconsider (and re-vote on) the bill tomorrow, because at least two provisions in the House Bill (one dealing with the ability to apply 529 plan savings to home schooling and the other granting an exemption to certain small colleges and universities from a new endowment excise tax) violate the Senate’s procedural rules. Even with this snag, the bill is expected to pass and be signed before Christmas.
